Omantel to launch ADSL service

Dr. Mohammed bin Hamad al-Rumhi, Oman's Oil and Gas Minister will launch the ADSL (Asynchronous Digital Subscriber Line) service at Al-Bustan Palace hotel on Saturday.  The ceremony will be attended by ministers, undersecretaries, members of the State Council and Majlis A’Shura and officials of banks and companies. 

 

According to <i>ONA</I>, the ADSL is a high speed internet service which is aimed to enhance the internet services and solve the problems facing its users.  Omantel launches this service with the aim of increasing the number of the internet users in the Sultanate and boost the government plans to shift to the electronic and digital world.
