OMD Middle East generates $30 million worth of new business in 2002

Named Global Media Agency of the Year for 2002 by Advertising Age, OMD is now described as a unified planning and buying force with a consistent global message. In 2002, it picked up $2.3 billion in new business including several hotly contested global accounts. OMD also put together the biggest single media deal in history, a one billion dollar cross-media pact with Walt Disney Co. and ABC. 

 

Applying international solutions with local implementation is a key process that has been adopted by OMD in the Middle East. Making a significant entry in the region in January 2002, OMD Middle East is headquartered in Dubai, with offices across the region. In 2002, OMD Middle East clocked some $30 million of new business, including Sony, Mercedes Benz, Diageo, Groupe SEB and Lebanon Tourism.
