One million square feet of land will be allocated to members of Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders (SME) by Dubai Industrial City.

The donation will go towards empowering national entrepreneurs to launch business through land allocations at competitive rents, according to Gulf News. The move follows an agreement between Akil Kazim, Operations Director, SME and Abdullah Bin Haidar, chief operating officer, Dubai Industrial City.

"The MoU underlines our efforts to empower small and start up companies through collaboration with leading national organizations," stated Akil Kazim, Operations Director, SME.

"The preferential rental rate offered by Dubai Industrial City to SME member companies will greatly help to minimise the overheads and operational costs of member start up companies," he added.

"Empowering national entrepreneurs is one of our prime obligations to support the long-term economic well-being of the UAE," added Abdullah Bin Haidar.
