Egyptian mobile operator Orascom Telecom (OT) has issued an official denial of market rumors regarding a wouldbe merger with the Kuwait-based Mobile Telecommunication Company (MTC).
MTC has acquired OT’s Jordan-based subsidiary, Fastlink, earlier this year. OT Chairman Naguib Sawiris expressed earlier this week his keen interest in bidding for a newly announced license tender to run Iraq mobile network. — (menareport.com)
