Pay-TV Platform in the Middle East and North Africa Orbit Satellite and Radio Television is now offering Al-Riyadhiya a new daily 12-hours sports channel.
The new channel will provide its viewers with coverage of the most important regional and international sports events including the Saudi League. Orbit subscribers will have access to Egyptian, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatari and Kuwaiti league matches as well as Asian Cup and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Cup events.
According to a statement released by Orbit, the new channel will provide a number of interesting sports programs, analyses and news updates. The weekly Riyadh-based Program Al-Markaz Al-Riyadhi will provide the viewers with intensive and analytic coverage of Saudi league events as well as regional and international scenes.
Orbit made its debut in 1994 as a digital, multi-channel, multi-lingual, direct to home pay television service. Headquartered in Bahrain, Orbit has many offices across the Middle East and North Africa including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Tunisia and Egypt. In addition, Orbit broadcasts a select bouquet of Arabic-language services in Europe and has plans to expand into North America and Australia soon. — (menareport.com)
