OTAZU has announced its partnership with Paris Gallery to distribute the entire range of Otazu fashion jewellery products in the UAE. The move comes as Otazu seeks to leverage Paris Gallery’s geographical reach and regional expertise to capture a larger chunk of the region's USD 1.5 billion fashion industry.
Recently released statistics indicate that residents in the GCC region are amongst the world's highest consumers of fashion apparels, with the average annual amount spent per head on fashion apparels totalling more than AED 1,226. During 2006, the sales value of the fashion industry in the UAE alone reached more than AED 1.5 billion.
“The partnership aims to leverage Paris Gallery’s market stronghold in a bid to tap the growing fashion sector in the Gulf as well as to bring our business experience and great values to the region,” said Marijke Vos, Managing Director, Otazu.
“We have been present in the UAE market for quite some time; however, our representation in this market in the past was at best fragmented. With the appointment of Paris Gallery as our UAE distributor, consumers in the country will now have very good access to our products,” added Vos.
OTAZU brand has a major presence in US, UK, Netherlands and other major cities in Europe and Asia. Also, international celebrities like Beyonce Knowles, Britney Spears, Nicole Kidman and Kelis are few names who had been know for using the brand.
“We are delighted to have forged this new partnership with Otazu, adding to our existing alliances with other strong and respected global brands. Through this agreement, we have moved one step closer to having a comprehensive product portfolio that meets the complete fashion needs of people in the region. With extensive retail network, we will definitely bring Otazu closer to different markets within the country,” said Khalil Karkar, Group Business Development Officer of Paris Gallery.
Paris Gallery has 21 branches in the UAE covering all the major cities like Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Al Ain, Ras Al Khaimah. Otazu Jewelleries will exclusively showcase its silver and bijoux collections in Paris Gallery starting August 1, 2007.
