Panasonic, manufacturer of home entertainment products, has recently launched a promotion scheme along with Oman National Electronics, its sole distributor in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The seven-week promotion will offer buyers of the new 21-inch flat screen Panasonic TVs, launched last month a chance to win diamond jewelry worth 330,000 Emirati dirhams, which will be divided into 20 weekly prizes.

“The fact that Panasonic designed these 21-inch flat-screen TVs specifically for the Middle East market reflects its commitment to the consumers in the region. This move is part of our strategy to offer products that not only incorporate advanced technology but also have looks that will appeal to the local consumers,” according to a company press release.

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., best known for its Panasonic, National and Technics brands, develops and manufactures electronics products for a wide range of consumer, business, and industrial needs.

In addition to stock exchanges in Tokyo and other major cities in Japan, Matsushita's shares are also listed on the Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, New York, Pacific and Paris stock exchanges.
