Bandwidth provider Peribit Networks will begin operations in the Middle East, through its Saudi Arabia-based regional partner, Worley Arabia Communications, stated a press release.
In parallel, Peribit announced the installation of its patent-pending Molecular Sequence Reduction (MSR) technology at Riyadh-based Al-Bank Al-Saudi Al-Fransi, the company's first customer in the Middle East region. Worley Arabia will conduct all related installation, service, and support work.
Peribit's MSR technology uses DNApattern-matching techniques to increase wide area network (WAN) capacity. Peribit's Sequence Reducer products provide immediate WAN bandwidth gains, which result in significant cost savings for regional companies, both in terms of infrastructure development and operation.
Based on techniques originally developed to detect patterns in genomic sequences, Peribit's MSR technology identifies and removes repeating data patterns of any size, anywhere in the data stream in real time. Thus, MSR can increase the effective network capacity of existing WAN links by up to ten times.
This increased capacity translates directly into greater network efficiency, better application performance, greater ability to roll out new applications, and lower monthly transmission costs. — (menareport.com)
