UK-based PGS Reservoir Consultants has been awarded a two-year contract by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) to provide Integrated Petroleum Engineering Consultancy Services.
As the first project under this umbrella contract, PGS is providing a complete geoscience and reservoir engineering team based in Muscat for 18 months and will produce updated field development plans for three fields in the Qarn Alam area of Oman.
PGS will provide well locations, design, economics and the reservoir management strategy that will enable the development of the fields and will focus in particular on in-fill drilling and flank developments to the existing producing fields.
PGS provides services for geoscience, reservoir analysis, petrophysics and production. The company has carried out planning studies for Shell operating company, Al-Furat Petroleum, in Syria. — (menareport.com)
