A Syrian official in the field of communication on Sunday disclosed details of a national initiative to boost internet use in the country, projecting subscription rate to reach 20% in 2013 and to bring the internet to "every Syrian house."
Deputy Minister of Communication and Technology Nibal Idlbi told a closing meeting of an annual information symposium, the program to re-build the Syrian information and communication sector is aimed at upgrading the infrastructure of information technology in a way that suites Syria's conditions.
