You can't go anywhere without a device on which to watch movies, play games and listen to music. While in the old days this would have meant carting your entire living room around with you, now you can just carry a tablet and also surf the web.

1) When travelling it's all about space saving so the iPad Mini 4 is a decent bet. Only 300 grams and 6.1mm thick, it's little more than a phone but just big enough to make watching movies an enjoyable experience.

2) Earphones are always a tricky purchase. Do you go cheap and they break almost instantly? Expensive and you lose them because they're so small, or big and chunky that can often become a little cumbersome. We've just come across the Sennheiser PXC 550 wireless headphones that are specifically designed for travellers. High-quality sound and 30 hours of battery life means you won't run out of juice.

3)This one perhaps isn't so glamorous, but by Jiminy you'll thank us when you need it. You've got all your entertainment covered, but what happens when the device runs out of juice?

You've got your charger but will the plug fit the country you are visiting. Say goodbye to that trouble with the Merlin Digital Travel Mate. It's a multi plug, what more can we say?
