Residents of the village of Zamlaka, in the rural suburbs of Damascus, have been extremely concerned as of late about the leakage of sewage into their local drinking water supply, reported Al-Bayan.
Inhabitants fear the spread of disease as a result of the pollution especially since certain disease symptoms have already appeared among village children. So far, over 300 of the local children of various age groups are suspected of being contaminated by the polluted water. ― (MENA Report)
