ALBAWABA - The world's largest cryptocurrency-based prediction market, Polymarket, sparked debate on social media after posting that the odds of Jesus Christ returning are higher than Kamala Harris's chance of winning the next 2028 presidential elections.

Polymarket took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "The odds of Jesus Christ returning this year have surpassed Kamala Harris’s chances of winning the next election."

According to the market's official website, the possibility of Jesus Christ returning before 2027 recently climbed up to four percent, with $28 million in trading volume and bets over $800,000 being placed. However, by the time of reporting, chances have dropped to three percent.

This stirred debate on social media with many users slamming Polymarket for mixing fate with finance and cryptocurrency trading. A social media user on X, "Who bets on Christ returning?  Even if you’re correct, you just threw away your entire bet."

Another wrote under Polymarket's "Will Jesus Christ return before 2027?" market, "concerned about how, if he returns, winners get their money."

Back in 2025, former US Vice President Kamala Harris told the BBC that she's "not done" and may run for president again, stating further that she's confident there will be a woman in the White House down the line.

She added, "If I listened to polls I would have not run for my first office, or my second office - and I certainly wouldn't be sitting here."
