Portugal’s CIMPOR to invest €27 million in Moroccan operations

Cimentos de Portugal (CIMPOR) plans to invest €27.6 million into its plants located in Temara, Morocco. Production will increase from 845,000 tons to 2.2 million tons annually once development is completed, MAP quoted a group newsletter as saying. 

 

CIMPOR acquired a cement plant and a concrete plant in Temara in 1996. The two factories together hold a nine percent share of Morocco’s total cement consumption.  

 

CIMPOR is Portugal’s largest cement group operating in Spain, Tunisia, Brazil, Mozambique, Egypt, Morocco and South Africa. The company manufactures and marketa cement, hydraulic lime, concrete and aggregates, precast concrete and dry mortars. — (menareport.com)
