‘Abu-Ghazaleh International University’ Participates in ICESCO’s International Forum on Women Entrepreneurship

Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) held a digital workshop under the theme: “Women Entrepreneurship: A Future Key for Sustainable Development.” with the participation of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International University (TAGIUNI), organized in conjunction with the ICESCO’s celebration of "Year of Women 2021". 

High-ranking participants including ministers, officials, ambassadors, businesswomen and a host of experts from international and Arab institutions took part in the event.

During the opening ceremony, Dr. AlMalik, ICESCO Director-General, stressed the importance of women’s role in society, calling for achieving the desired change towards a better world based on equity, gender equality and genuine partnership between women and men. 

TAGIUNI, a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), participated in the inaugural session, represented by Dr. Mushira Enezat, executive director of the International Educational Programs at TAG.Global, who reviewed a research paper entitled ‘Women’s Role in Technological Innovation and Digital Entrepreneurship in the Arab World’.

Enezat indicated that technological innovation should deserve much attention in the Arab world for its effective role in technologically empowering youth, especially women, which would contribute to assisting women in keeping pace with the Fourth Industrial Revolution Era, as well as in overcoming challenges and maximizing benefit. 

Dr. Enezat also referred to TAGIUNI’s capabilities in the field of education and digital learning, stating that it has created radical changes in shifting into digital learning; noting the importance of modern and developed curricula that focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications at the various levels of education to achieve creativity and innovation.

Participants stressed the need to empower women and develop their skills with digital education and economic empowerment to serve the economic, industrial, technological, medical, educational and service sectors. Meanwhile, a number of feasibility studies that demonstrate the best practices and means to encourage women to continue their entrepreneurship work, were reviewed.
