‘Capital Heels’ features nutrition for its first event of 2016

The Capital Club, Bahrain’s Premier business club held its Capital Heels event on January 18, 2016 with guest speaker Ala Hopmark – Clinical Nutritionist and holder of several nutrition diplomas from UK institutes - who explained all about how to monitor one’s eating habits and take care of one’s body, mind and soul.

 Ala believes that eating the right food can help reduce a lot of the diseases that modern society faces today.  She assists individuals and equips them with the knowledge, guidance, motivation and support to reach their goals towards long term health and wellbeing.  ‘’ A healthy body depends on healthy organs; eating the right food helps the body eliminate toxins resulting in healthy cells and a well-nourished body’’ says Ala.  Nutrition plays a very important role towards not just a healthier body but also to finding balance in your life.

Dina Haikel, General Manager, Capital Club Bahrain added ‘’I think it is very appropriate to have Ala talk to us at this time of the year as most of us have probably indulged in perhaps not so healthy eating habits over the holidays.  It is great to learn how we can quickly find a good balance again.’’

Some of the topics Ala talked about cover food allergies, the importance of vitamins and minerals for hormones especially during Menopause and PMS, and how to look younger by caring for our skin through nutrition.

Capital Heels is a platform for like-minded women to come together as a community and interact around issues that concern and touch them. Such events aim to bring the community of women even closer together.
