“My Earth, My Lens” photography competition ends on 30th April

Entries for ‘My Earth, My Lens’ – a photography competition organised by Canon Middle East – will  close out on Monday, 30th April.

Canon Middle East had launched the competition across the Middle East in conjunction with Earth Hour on March 31st.  Mai Youssef, Corporate Communications Manager, Canon Middle East, said: “The competition aims to promote photography lovers from around the region and the response we have had so far is remarkable. We want to remind people that the competition will be drawing to a close on April 30th, so they need to send their entries to us at the earliest.” 

The contest, invites participants to capture powerful images of nature – ranging from photographs of the ocean to pictures of gardens. The photos have to be accompanied by a caption that best captures the essence of the image. An entrant from the UAE, said: "As a budding photographer, I am super excited about this opportunity that Canon has offered me. It gives me a chance to express myself and capture my feeling towards the environment. It is very motivating!” 

This initiative is part of Canon’s celebration of its 10 year anniversary in the Middle East. With CSR a major aspect of the celebrations, the company aims to highlight its strong commitment to environmental stewardship with a series of initiatives clubbed under the theme of “Power of Environment”, including this Photo Competition.
