40 UAE Nationals Graduate From Emirates Steel’s Future Leaders and Masaar’s Programs
Forty employees and managers at Emirates Steel have graduated from the company’s Future Leaders and Masaar programs, which are designed to support the growth of Emirati talent and leadership skills.
Emirates Steel introduced the Future Leaders and Masaar program with aim to build up Emirates Steel’s middle management skills and talent for the future of both the company and the wider national heavy industry sector. During the programs, participants attended a variety of workshop sessions and received ongoing coaching and assistance from mentors and coaches.

Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, CEO of Emirates Steel, commented: “In the current regional metals industry, training and working with emerging local talent is one of the best investments that we can make for the collective future of our sector. At Emirates Steel, we take seriously our commitment to building that talent, in line with our company’s strategy for growth, alongside playing our role in achieving the human capacity development objectives of Abu Dhabi Plan and UAE Centennial 2071.
“Understanding the fundamentals of good management is one of the building blocks required to mould our future leaders. Through participating in these programs, our employees are working toward becoming leaders of the regional industrial sector of tomorrow. I wish them my best as they continue progressing toward this ambitious goal,” he concluded.
As part of the company’s agenda to attract UAE national to its workforce, Emirates Steel is participating in “Tawdeef” exhibition 2020, which will be held from 27-29 January 2020 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center. The company participates within the pavilion of the General Holding Company (Senaat).
It is noteworthy that the company has hired more than 100 Emiratis, bringing the total number of Emirati employees to more than 500 employees, accounting for 24% of the workforce, 60% of whom work as engineers and technicians.
