56 Bahrainis graduate from Tamkeen’s Intelaaq Business Student Consultancy Program

Tamkeen held a graduation ceremony honoring 56 young Bahrainis from the second and third batches enrolled in Tamkeen’s Intelaaq Business Student Consultancy Program. The program comes as part of Tamkeen’s efforts to support and build the capabilities of Bahrainis throughout their developmental stages and connect them with the Kingdom’s business community.

The Graduation ceremony commemorates the conclusion of the second and third batch of the 2015-2016 program with students participating from the University of Bahrain, Bahrain Polytechnic, Arab Open University and The Royal University for Women. The ceremony honored all the participating student teams in their projects’ respective industries.

As part of the program, student teams were assigned projects at 10 local enterprises including Higher Education Council, Maya La Chocolaterie, Obai and Hill, Craftzania, winners, Almoayyed Contracting Group, Alayam Newspaper, Wish, Green Bar, and Startup Magazine who gave the consultants the opportunity to practice their management consultancy knowledge in real business cases.

Established in November 2011, in cooperation with the MENA Centre for Investments, Intelaaq consists of a 12-week Student Business Consultancy Program that aims to transform the classroom knowledge of undergraduates and recent graduates into practical application by providing consultancy services to local SMEs. Students majoring in a variety of fields such as business, media, graphic design, and communication participated in the program.

Registration is now open for Intelaaq’s final batch due to begin in July 2016. To be eligible for the Program, applicants are required to be either in their third or fourth year of undergraduate studies or fresh graduates majoring in business management, marketing, accounting, finance, strategy, operations or majoring in media, graphic design, and communication-related courses.
