Abu Dhabi’s newest and trendiest dining options can now be found at the Hyatt at Capital Gate hotel in the city’s sophisticated embassy district.

From sunset evening drinks on a terrace followed by dinner in a show-kitchen restaurant to Friday brunch for the family with panoramic views of the city, Hyatt at Capital Gate has got something for everyone – including those wishing to ring in the New Year until the early hours of New Year’s Day.

“Hyatt at Capital Gate is an impossibly stylish hotel in a fabulous city-centre location.  Sleek and contemporary in design, the Hyatt’s select food and beverage outlets are equally premium in calibre and appeal,” said Federico Mantoani, Food and Beverage Director at the hotel.

Located in Abu Dhabi’s iconic Capital Gate building, with its famous 18 degree leaning structure, the design-led Hyatt property is home to 18° (18 degrees), Profiterole, Lounge, and Prive.

18° is an Eastern Mediterranean-inspired dining outlet with a focus on guest entertainment – from the excellence of its signature dishes to its theatrical show kitchens.  Found on the hotel’s 18th floor, the restaurant will serve as the Hyatt’s primary dining outlet and offer a Friday brunch on par with the very best in the capital.

18° imposes a spacious seating style, featuring traditional dining tables, an outdoor terrace, high bar tables, and booth seating giving an asymmetric and modern look to the dining room.

The cuisine’s main source of inspiration comes from the Eastern Mediterranean region, with chefs featuring a menu that is ever-changing and novel - while using the freshest seasonal products - celebrating the gastronomic heritage of Italy, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, and Syria.

Highlights from the dinner menu include a range of options from Sea Bass Fillet Poached in Almond Milk with Rocca and Potato Mash to Whole Lobster with Marinated Organic Vegetables and Hot Pepper Rouille to Beef Tenderloin with a Pistachio Pepper Crust served with Olives and a Pomegranate Glaze.

“18° is about guests slowly indulging in very high-quality foods prepared with real imagination, so we will constantly be evolving our menu through culinary techniques and the introduction of seasonally-available products.  Our Friday brunch, in particular, will be a trend setter in Abu Dhabi as much as the gleaming structure of the building,” said Steffen Gube, executive chef of Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi

Located on the ground floor, Profiterole is an all-day dining establishment themed around small puff pastries with sweet or savoury fillings.  Ideal for dining-in or take-away, Profiterole offers cakes, tarts, and bakery items.

The Hyatt’s centre of social activity, Lounge, offers guests a stylish environment in which to indulge in an eclectic spread of premium teas and coffees and a gourmet selection of the finest pastries.

For the style-conscious, Prive, presents a contemporary, yet warm and intimate, ambiance for friends and business associates to meet and unwind after a long day, or plan their evening’s entertainment in one of the world’s most exciting cities.

Finally, the Hyatt at Capital Gate Abu Dhabi will host New Year’s Eve revellers with an unbeatable series of dining and overnight packages – among them an enticing set menu prepared by 18° restaurant Chef Ivan Musoni and his team – as well as a DJ from midnight to 3am.

Chef Musoni presents the following New Year’s Eve dining packages: Classic (AED 700 net), Premium (AED 1,200 net), and Veuve (AED 2,000 net) to accompany his five-course offering.
