Abu Dhabi Municipality Completes Rehabilitation of Children's Playground at Park of Sector West 8, Abu Dhabi

Through the City Center Municipality, Abu Dhabi City Municipality completed the rehabilitation and maintenance of the Children's Playground in the Neighborhood Park opposite the Family Park, Sector West 8 Abu Dhabi at the intersection of Hamdan bin Mohammed Street and Mubarak bin Mohammed Street.

The Municipality completed the maintenance and rehabilitation works included replacing the rubber flooring with a world-class & high-quality layout. The rehabilitation works also included maintenance of the games equipment, bringing them at par with international safety standards for all age groups using these playgrounds. Other maintenance works include repairing lighting systems, replacing shading panels and performing landscaping works.

This project comes in the context of the Municipality’s drive to provide recreational venues for families and children and enhance communication between community members in a positive and healthy environment.

It is worth mentioning that the Municipality carries out such maintenance and rehabilitation projects covering parks and children's playgrounds within Abu Dhabi Island and its environs on a regular basis. These projects aim to provide comfort and ensure wellbeing to the public by rehabilitating several children's playgrounds according to the use of each age group. This would promote health-enhancing sports activities, an objective that the Municipality always seeks to realise. The Municipality is keen to offer the best services to the public befitting the status of Abu Dhabi, the modern and promising city, and the ideal place for living, investment and tourism.

Before embarking on such maintenance works covering all facilities, the Municipality has classified the children's games sites and reset its priorities in this regard to cater to rising demand for parks and recreation facilities.

The Municipality calls upon the community members, park goers and playgrounds users not to tamper with park facilities, and join hands with the Municipality to protect these assets and public utilities, which were established to ensure the welfare of the society and provide recreational services in a healthy & safe environment.
