Preparations are well underway to inaugurate a state-of-the-art broadcast studio that will cater to Mass Communication students at Abu Dhabi University with the start of the upcoming academic year 2015-2016 in September. With the allocation of an AED 2 Million investment to construct the new studio, the University is keen on furnishing it with the latest tools and equipment to develop student skills and enable them to compete on the international media scene.

H.E Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri Chairman of Abu Dhabi University’s Executive Board explained that this new and much needed broadcast studio is part of ADU’s strategic plan to enhance and upgrade its on-campus infrastructure, to continually offer students a world-class educational environment that prepares them with both theoretical and practical knowledge. “This new addition to our already vibrant Abu Dhabi campus will allow us to enhance the labor market with national cadres of future graduates from ADU’s mass communication program, who have the skills and knowledge to compete on an international scale. Furthermore, the new broadcast studio represents a valuable asset that complements the University’s pursuit of international accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)”, added Bin Harmal.

“Mass Communication is a rapidly growing field that demands well skilled and specialized practitioners who can excel in different areas of this very broad profession. Accredited from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, ADU’s Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication prepares students for this fast-paced field, and offers them the choice between three areas of concentration: Print Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, and Strategic Communication”, concluded Bin Harmal.
