In a bid to enhance a cohesive and interactive relationship with more than 9,222 of its graduates, Abu Dhabi University recently announced the launch of its first “Alumni Portal”. Designed to offer efficient and user- friendly navigation, and quick access to information, the portal includes a wide array of services that include discussion forums, an interactive map to find and connect with other ADU alumni around the world, a careers section, as well as the opportunity to benefit from the “ADU Alumni Club Card”.

Commenting on the significance of this new portal, Charles Diab Director of University Advancement explained that it is an integral part of the University’s strategic plan to advance its relationship with more than 9,222 who have graduated from ADU’s various undergraduate and postgraduate programs since its inception in 2003. “The ADU Alumni Portal will allow our graduates to be much more integrated with their alma mater’s growth and development. They can connect with their fellow graduates anywhere across the globe, share ideas, discuss academic, social, economic and cultural issues, as well as benefit from the products and services offered by many of ADU’s strategic partners especially for our alumni”, added Diab.

On her part, Sarah Al Hashimi, Donor and Alumni Relations Manager at ADU stressed that perhaps the portal’s most impressive service is the careers section that allows ADU’s alumni to log on with their student/alumni ID and look for job opportunities offered by many of the University’s strategic partners in disciplines including Engineering, Business Administration, and Arts and Sciences.  “In its first phase, the ADU Alumni Portal includes sections for University and alumni events and activities, news section, alumni success stories as well a new monthly alumni newsletter. The portal represents a wonderful platform that will allow us to benefit from our alumni experiences as ADU’s most prominent ambassadors to the community at large”, said Al Hashimi.
