Acer recognised by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry for efforts in sustainability and CSR

Acer has been recognised by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the first time, for its efforts in sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

Presented with Dubai Chamber’s CSR Label Award, Acer was given the prestigious award as part of a ceremony honouring its dedication to integrating CSR into its strategy and operations.

“Acer was awarded based on its workplace, marketplace, community and environmental impacts, and we are proud to say that sustainability and CSR is an integral part of what we do. We are delighted to have been recognised by Dubai Chamber for these practices,” said David Drummond, Vice President, Middle East & Africa, Acer, who was on hand to receive the award.

“We have set a goal to reach a global balance that integrates human, environmental and community resources, and by integrating and embedding CSR into our business operations and participating proactively in programs like the Dubai Chamber CSR Label, we continue to demonstrate our commitment and determination to operating as a responsible company,” Drummond added.

The CSR Label Award, which was introduced in 2010, provides a voluntary framework to help companies assess their current CSR contribution and to determine a path moving forward to define and improve CSR strategy, policies and management practices.
