Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and Red Crescent Authority unite efforts to help those in need during Holy Month of Ramadan

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) has entered into a partnership with the Red Crescent Authority to support their efforts during the Holy Month of Ramadan. ADCB is the first bank to announce sponsorship of Red Crescent Ramadan Tents across the Emirates, throughout the Holy month of Ramadan, as part of the “Iftar Al Saa’im” project. The project, held every Ramadan, provides Iftar meals for those in need.
ADCB is dedicated to giving back to the communityy within which it operates and the sponsorship of Red Crescent Ramadan tents is a continuation of ADCB’s dedication to improving social issues. The bank sponsors Ramadan Iftar Tents annually, but the partnership with Red Crescent is the first time that ADCB has allocated its corporate Ramadan budget to provide more that 35,000 Iftar meals for those less fortunate throughout the Holy month of Ramadan.
Mr. Amr Al Menhali, Head –ADCB Islamic Banking commented: “The Holy month of Ramadan is an opportunity to enhance Social Responsibility and unite efforts in helping the needy. Through this initiative, ADCB reaffirms its support to the less privileged members of our community during the month of Ramadan, by sponsoring tents in various locations across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Northern Emirates to provide free Iftar meals in a gesture that reflects the spirit of the Holy month and helping those in need”.
In Abu Dhabi, ADCB sponsors the tent located at the Mariam Bint Abdullah Bin Breik Mosque and the tent located behind Al Bawadi Mall in Al Ain. Sponsorship in the Northern Emirates will include the tent near the Sharjah Police station in Al Nassiriyah, the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Mosque in Al Hil region in Ras Al Khaimah, a mosque in Al Zahraa’ region in Ajman and the Abdullah Bin Kaaeb Ehferah Mosque in Fujairah. Through this initiative, ADCB will support up to 1250 people during Ramadan, investing once more in good deeds.
