ADM Holds 'Sport Sans Frontières' Event in Musaffah

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality, in collaboration with Salsabil Transport and General Contracting Company has organised a sporting event in Musaffah featuring the participation of workers in the area. The event included multiple individual & team sports such as basketball, walking and a footrace. This reflects the Municipality’s keenness to trigger communal participation with the aim of continuing communication, engaging community members in sports events and bringing them happiness. This would contribute to realising the Municipality’s strategy and societal responsibility regarding meeting HSE standards.

The Municipality continuously strives to support all individuals as well as community segments by offering a plethora of sports activities for everyone, particularly the working class, a key & effective component in the society. The civic body is also keen to involve workers in this event to alleviate their stress, put the smile on their faces. The event also came as a gesture by the Municipality to recognise workers’ good efforts, dedication and devotion.

Such events are undertaken in the context of the Municipality’s commitment to educating community members about the importance of sport in our daily life, which has a positive impact on individual and the community at large, as such, sport strengthens the body and promotes good health if adopted as daily a lifestyle.

During the "Sport Sans Frontières" event, the Municipality offered special accolades to the participants to motivate them to pursue sports activities. The participants thanked the Municipality for staging such activities, lauding its keenness to continue communication with them and involve them in such events. The Municipality, together with strategic partners, vowed to rejuvenate social interaction, instil the values of cooperation and common good, besides enhancing communal participation and organizing initiatives targeting all age brackets to raise awareness about the importance of practising sports activities.
