The Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) celebrated on Wednesday Mother’s Day in a grand ceremony attended by company executives and a large number of the employees and their families.

The annual celebration, organised this year under the theme, “Mother... Building Tomorrow’s Generations” is part of ADMA-OPCO’s corporate social responsibility.

The audience at a jam-packed auditorium fully enjoyed the colourful programme which started with the national anthem, followed by “Mother’s Day Show” presented by children from Abu Mosa Al Ashari School who were clad in their gorgeous angel costumes.

In line with the event’s theme, the floor was then given to Mrs. Badria Khalfan Deputy Human Resources & Admin Director (ADNOC) who spoke about the great role played by women in the society.

Mrs. Badria cited Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak as a role model who has played a leading role in
promoting women's position in our country. She thanked ADMA-OPCO for taking this noble initiative to pay tribute to the most loveable person of our life.

The celebration included a video clip on mother followed by a song performed by Future Centre children. A religious lecture on the importance of the role played by mothers and the need to respect and take care of them was delivered by Mrs. Etidal Al Shamsi, a senior preacher at the General Authority for Islamic Affairs & Endowments.

The event concluded with distribution of award to winners of a drawing competition organised as part of the celebration.
