ADUKG kicks-off customised leadership development programme for senior professionals from UAE’s Ministry of Justice
Abu Dhabi University Knowledge Group (ADUKG) has held a project launch, attended by His Excellency Mohammed bin Hamad Al Badi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice and His Excellency Abdullah Abdul Jabbar Al Majid, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services, Ministry of Justice, to kick-off a highly-specialised leadership development programme for 20 Emirati senior professionals from the UAE’s Ministry of Justice.
The four module “Leadership Development and Empower Programme” focuses on crucial aspects of leadership development through a highly interactive and engaging programme format. This has been created in partnership with the Ministry’s HR Department, and is based on content developed by BlessingWhite, the specialist leadership development unit of Top 20 International Training & Development company, GP Strategies. ADUKG is the exclusive provider of GP Strategies and BlessingWhite programmes in the MENA region.
The launch of the programme was attended by all participants, and provided facilitators with an opportunity to outline how the course will proceed and the skills the participants will develop. Participants are all professionals from the Ministry of Justice – with job titles such as Chief Prosecutor, Adviser and Assistant Expert.
Core focuses of the intensive sessions that will follow include considering new ways to develop and build trust within teams, as well as how active listening can help establish more meaningful relationships with colleagues. Participants will also look at the importance of employee engagement and team-building, and will learn how to effectively strategise to best lead important conversations in the workplace.
The programme also involves a team project that will run over the course of four months, providing a key opportunity for participants to develop and practice their new leadership skills.
The Ministry strongly believes in the real value of investing in our human capital. In line with this focus, and under the leadership and vision of His Excellency Sultan bin Saeed Al Badi, Minister of Justice, the Human Resources department designed and developed this latest leadership programme in partnership with ADUKG. Through the programme, we will further develop the skills of our future leaders, focusing on global best practices and demonstrating how participants can link strategy and performance in the teams they manage. The participants will also enhance their understanding of the concepts of happiness and engagement in the workplace, and will see how both can drive higher performance,” said Moza Al Fardh, HR Director, Ministry of Justice.
We are very pleased to get this exciting project with the Ministry of Justice underway, and look forward to supporting the participants to further develop their leadership capacities over the next few months. We have tailored this programme in Arabic to the unique specifications of our client, and I am certain that our long-experience delivering customised leadership training to professionals across the region - combined with the international knowledge of our partners - means that our solution can provide long-term, sustainable gains in the Ministry’s leadership talent pool,” said Dr. Ahmad Badr, Chief Executive Officer of ADUKG.
Abu Dhabi University
The dream began with the Charter of Abu Dhabi University in the year 2000, After three years of planning, the university opened its doors in September 2003, to an entering class of 1,000 students on its two campuses in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Unlike other colleges and universities in the UAE, ADU undertook the measures necessary to ensure that all of the degree programs it would offer had secured accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in advance of any students enrolling in them.
ADU offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees based upon the American model of higher education.
