Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP), represented by its Executive Director Mr. Charles Shaban, participated in the ExCo Meeting of the Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle (FICPI) 2019 held in Turin Italy, March 30 – Apri

Mr. Shaban took part in all working sessions of FICPI commissions and workshops outlining the development of position papers related to the development of different IP services that FICPI shares with Intellectual Property offices worldwide.

During the meetings, Mr. Shaban discussed with FICPI President Mr. Julian Crump, previous president Mr. Doug Deeth, Secretary General Mr. Roberto Pistolesi, membership commission president Mr. Barry Graham and Mr. Markus Hoessle, and Mr. Hendrik Jan Brookhuis (membership commission) the necessary steps required for establishing a Jordanian chapter that might later cover the entire Arab region. FICPI welcomed the proposal offering its full support, starting with arranging a seminar scheduled to take place in 2019, as well as meeting with the prospective members in Jordan.

FICPI (Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle) is a voluntary, not-for-profit, international federation of national IP associations, dedicated national sections of FICPI and individual members. Founded in 1906, FICPI has more than 5,000 members in more than 80 countries on six continents.
