AHG Chairman receives Belarusian Ambassador

The Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, Khalaf Al Habtoor, welcomed the Belarusian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Aleksandr Semeshko, at the Group’s head office on Monday October 1. 

They discussed potential business opportunities in Belarus. Also present were Igor Bondarev, Belarus Embassy Counsellor and Maan Halabi, Executive Director, Al Habtoor Group. 

Ambassador Semeshko hand delivered a letter from the Prime Minister of Belarus, Mikhail Myasnikovich, inviting Mr. Al Habtoor to the country to discuss potential investment opportunities, and for a delegation from the Al Habtoor Group to attend the 7th Belarusian Investment Forum in Minsk in November. The Prime Minister visited the UAE earlier this year.

Khalaf Al Habtoor commented, “Belarus has a lot to offer investors; it is ideally placed near Russia and Kazakhstan.  The Belarus government is confident of high investment growth and innovation efforts in the country next year.”

The Government of the Republic of Belarus has attached high priority to the liberalization of the national economy to make it more attractive for foreign investors.
