Jordan Ahli Bank sponsors the 2012 Health and Charity March in Irbid

As part of its continued efforts to support the less fortunate children in the Kingdom, Jordan Ahli Bank recently sponsored the 2012 Health and Charity March, organized in Irbid by the Compassion for Children Club and under the patronage of HRH Prince Faisal Bin Hussein, head of the Jordanian Olympic Committee. The event was also attended by Lana Al-Jaghber, the committee's Secretary General, the Assistant to the Irbid Municipality Muaffaq Al Shboul, in addition to various officials from the sports, youth and education sectors and a host of more than 2,000 participants.

The march, considered the first of its kind in Irbid, aimed at supporting the city's underprivileged and special needs children by sourcing the funding necessary for continuing the activities of the Compassion for Children Club. The event also sought to raise awareness on the issues affecting this segment of the community and the mechanisms for addressing them, in addition to allowing the children to join their communities in a health-building, constructive activity that builds their self-esteem while helping to reinforce their sense of belonging.

Through its various CSR initiatives, Jordan Ahli Bank lends particular focus to underprivileged and special needs children, underscoring the importance of preserving their right to lead normal, productive lives. The bank has launched numerous initiatives in this regard, the most recent of which was its participation as a Silver Sponsor in the cleft lips and palates surgeries campaign organized earlier this month in Mafraq by Operation Smile.
