Ahmed Mahboob Musabih and Kazakhstan Consul General discuss further customs and trade cooperation

H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, has received the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Dubai and Northern Emirates Issagaliyev Arman, in presence of Faisal Eissa Lutfi, CEO of DC World and Director of External Relations at Dubai Customs.

The meeting highlighted new cooperation prospects that aim at cementing economic and trade relations between the UAE in general and Dubai in particular and the Republic of  Kazakhstan.

H.E. Issagaliyev Arman applauded the fruitful outcomes of the visit made by DC World to his country in August of this year. He asserted the Kazakh Government’s desire to establish future partnerships with Dubai in areas of trade and customs.

On his turn, H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih said that such partnerships will definitely reflect in a positive way on boosting trade relations between the two countries. He underscored that trade volume between Dubai and the Republic of Kazakhstan in the first half of 2015 scored AED 323 million, with AED 70.5 million in imports, AED 41 million in exports and AED 211.5 in re-exports.

Faisal Eissa Lutfi, CEO of DC World and Director of External Relations at Dubai Customs, said that their visit to Kazakhstan last August fulfilled its objectives, as they showcased Dubai Customs’ model experiences in developing applicable top-notch customs processes to the Kazakh officials.

The Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Dubai and Northern Emirates extended an invitation to H.E. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of DP World and Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, and to H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih to attend and be part of the Kazakhstan National Day celebrations.
