The Arab International Society for Management Technology (AIMICT) in collaboration with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum (TAG-KF) have held a webinar on “Emerging Tech Global Gap Index”, delivered by Digital Transformation Expert and President of CertNexus, Mr. Jeffrey Felice.

In his presentation, Mr. Felice reviewed several international reports and studies indicating that digitalization is expanding the skills gap. He was particularly referring to a number of companies that suffer significant skills gap, where 64% of managers do not believe that their employees are capable to keep pace with the required skills in the future; and while  70% of employees say that they have not mastered the skills they need for their jobs today. 

The webinar was moderated by Executive Director of TAG-KF, Mr. Fadi Daoud, who raised various topics including the future organizational structure of the workforce, the skills that every professional will need in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) era, and the major skills and abilities that AI jobs need.

In conclusion, Mr. Felice affirmed that the “The emerging technology is transforming businesses, governments, and personal lifestyle, thus contributes to remapping the jobs landscape. Therefore, we and our organizations need to sharpen our professional skills for the future, and update them accordingly”.

The technical webinar is one of a series of awareness technical webinars and sessions launched jointly between AIMICT and TAG-KF, as part of TAG-KF's ongoing efforts to spread and share information and knowledge through their platforms.

The Arab International Society for Management Technology (AIMICT) was established as a non-profit organization in 1989, in Buffalo-New York State, in the United States, and it was officially registered in Amman in 1990 under the name of the "Arab Management Society”. In 2015, the name of the organization was amended into "The Arab International Society for Management Technology" (AIMICT), to keep pace with modern global technological developments in various sectors and to help establish and create knowledge-based management.
