Airport International Group Distributes Heaters, Blankets and Gasoline to Underprivileged Families in Zizya and Al Jizah

As part of its commitment to empowering local communities in the vicinity of Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), Airport International Group (AIG) – the Jordanian company responsible for the rehabilitation, expansion and operation of QAIA – provided heaters, blankets and gasoline to around 100 underprivileged families living in the Zizya and Al Jizah areas in preparation for the recent snowstorm which hit Jordan in early December.

The campaign, which falls under AIG’s corporate social responsibility strategy, was carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development.

Community empowerment begins by ensuring that the basic needs of its members are being met, thus enabling them to work towards attaining a better life for themselves and their families.

We hope that, through this campaign, we have helped spread warmth among our neighbors this winter, particularly during the severe weather conditions we experienced earlier this month,” said Kjeld Binger, CEO of AIG.  “I would like to take this opportunity to thank those of the AIG family who volunteered during the campaign and exemplified AIG’s values of solidarity, generosity and dedication to the community we belong to.”
