Airport International Group Foundation Receives Two Prestigious Sustainability and CSR Awards

Airport International Group Foundation (AIGF)—the executive arm of Airport International Group’s philanthropic activities—has been recognized with two prestigious regional awards acknowledging its outstanding contributions to sustainable development and social responsibility in the local communities surrounding Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA).

At the Aviation Innovation Awards 2025, presented by MEA Business and MEA Finance, AIGF earned the ‘Sustainability Innovation Award’ for its pioneering efforts in designing and implementing high-impact programs that generate tangible, long-term socioeconomic change. The award highlights AIGF’s integrated sustainability model, spanning youth empowerment, community development and environmental stewardship, in alignment with national priorities and global best practices.

In a second regional achievement, AIGF was highly commended for ‘Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year’ at the Aviation Business Middle East Awards 2025, in recognition of the tangible impact of its ‘Hirfati’ Training Center in the town of Al Jizah. Since its establishment in 2019, the center has provided market-relevant vocational training and livelihood opportunities to hundreds of young men and women from local communities around QAIA, supporting economic resilience and employability.

Commenting on these achievements, AIGF Chairman, Omar M. Masri, stated, “These regional recognitions reflect the collective impact of our programs, teams and partnerships and reaffirm our belief that sustainable development starts with empowering people. By investing in skills, opportunity and confidence, we enable individuals and communities to actively shape their own futures. We are proud of what has been achieved to date and remain committed to scaling our impact in the years ahead.”

Guided by three strategic pillars—Youth Empowerment, Community Development and Environmental Sustainability—AIGF continues to deliver scalable, measurable and inclusive initiatives that support Jordan’s national sustainability agenda and contribute meaningfully to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As of October 2025, AIGF is proud to have graduated 694 young men and women via its training courses and initiatives. Findings from the 2023–2025 Impact Assessment Report, prepared by a specialist firm, showcased strong outcomes, including increased employment rates, growing entrepreneurial activity, higher female participation and extended reach across 12 surrounding villages. These results underscore AIGF’s role in setting a regional benchmark for structured, evidence-based CSR programs within the aviation sector.

Reinforcing its commitment to responsible growth, AIGF also maintained its elite ‘AAA’ ESG rating—the highest awarded by ESG Score, a leading European extra-financial rating agency—and improved its overall score to 93/100 in 2024.
