Al Bustan Centre and Residences bags major awards at the Inter-Hotel Sports Fun Day
Al Bustan Centre & Residence, the popular hotel-apartment among tourists and businessmen in the heart of Dubai, bagged the major awards in the recently concluded Inter-Hotel Sports Fun Day at Zabeel Park on 17th November 2015.
The team of Al Bustan Centre & Residence was declared the overall 2nd place winner in this year’s Inter-Hotel Sports Fun Day 2015 after winning first place in the Hula-hoops Relay, 2nd place in the Endurance Race and Champion for Cheering Competition.
The action packed event highlighted sportsmanship, friendly competition and excitement with the competing teams interacting well with their colleagues in the team as well as from different hotels.
Moussa El Hayek, Chief Operating Officer, Al Bustan Centre and Residence said: “Friendly competitions like this do not just promote camaraderie but also improve the hoteliers’ energy, commitment, and creativity at work. It was such a great honor and privilege to have a team with high spirit, superb teamwork, and exceptional determination like ours.”
El Hayek also acknowledged and appreciated the excellent team effort and preparation of their team displayed during the event headed by Liza Ortiz, Director of Human Resources who gathered the group and piloted the entire team.
Al Bustan Centre and Residence also competed in the Sack Race, Lime Relay and Maria went to Town.
The successful event was made possible through the effort of this year’s host organizers - Lileh Mukhtar of Movenpick IBG and Vangie Camaciang from Jebel Ali Resorts Hotel. The committee was composed of the HR Directors and Managers from 23 participating 4-star to 5-star hotels including Al Bustan Centre and Residence. The Inter-Hotel Sports Fun Day is held annually to boost networking and foster solidarity among the hoteliers and to strike a healthy balance between work and social life.
