Al-Futtaim Honda, exclusive distributor for Honda vehicles in the UAE, expects to post double digit growth in its fleet sales this year driven by positive business sentiment in the UAE.

The Al-Futtaim group company expects SME’s and corporates to bring down the life cycle cost of their assets and gear up ahead of the Expo 2020.

“Following the dip in 2009, the market is on an upward trajectory,” said Colin Cordery, Regional Managing Director at Al-Futtaim Honda. “Fleet owners are now looking to bring down the life cycle of their assets thereby saving on maintenance costs and realising better residual value from their investments.”

“As we bring to market new models in the second half of this year, we anticipate demand to increase from fleet owners. We are pleased with the response from the market and are committed to growing our fleet sales over the next couple of years,” he added.

Popular fleet models from Honda include the Honda Accord, Civic and the Odyssey which is the first choice among customers in the hospitality sector. The recently launched all-new Honda City has also attracted a lot of interest from fleet customers.

The Honda Business Edge programme has also contributed positively to the growth of fleet sales as it offers fleet owners customised solutions, access to competitive financing, attractive leasing plans, personalised service plans, privileged maintenance pricing, trade-in facilities and is supported by dedicated account managers and service centres located across the UAE.
