Al Habtoor Group Chairman meets the Romanian Ambassador to the UAE

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group held one-on-one talks with the Romanian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the Al Habtoor Group head office on Al Wasl Road on Thursday January 8, 2015. Dr. Adrian Macelaru came to see the Al Habtoor Group Chairman to personally accept an invitation to the Group’s 45th anniversary celebration later this week.  

It was the first meeting between the Al Habtoor Group Chairman and the Ambassador. Al Habtoor also presented the His Excellency with the second edition of his best-selling autobiography, ‘Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor – The Autobiography’.

Dr. Macelaru was appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in 2012. The UAE and Romania set up diplomatic relations in 1989 and Romania opened its embassy in the emirates in 1990.  The UAE opened its embassy in Romania in 2004.

The Al Habtoor Group, which was set up in 1970, is marking its 45th anniversary on Tuesday January 13th at a VIP gala event.
