ALHOSN University outlines 2011-2012 agenda to new faculty members
ALHOSN University, a leading Abu Dhabi-based university dedicated to high-quality value-based education, presented internal policies and the university’s agenda for the 2011-2012 school year during an Employee Orientation held on 7th September 2011. The latest batch of educators reflects ALHOSN’s commitment to excellence across all its programs.
The 18 new Professors and Teaching Assistants will be deployed at ALHOSN’s Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, Software Engineering, Interior Design, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, and Education departments. Participants were treated to a social breakfast at the Male Campus Cafeteria with their department chairs, after which they were personally welcomed by ALHOSN’s Vice Chancellor and CEO Prof. Abdul Rahim Sabouni. A series of orientation sessions on key areas such as admissions and registration and IT and library services facilitated by the university’s PR, Registration, IT, and HR teams then followed.
“We want our students to be the best, so we regularly assess our teaching personnel to see to it that we have the best onboard. We have a good group joining our community this year and we are confident that they will sustain the strong performance displayed by our institution last year. Judging from their enthusiasm and initiative during the sessions, we expect ALHOSN to reinforce its growing image as a leading education provider at the local and national levels,” said Prof. Abdul Rahim Sabouni, Vice Chancellor and CEO, ALHOSN University.
ALHOSN University opened in 2005 to students of all nationalities with the purpose of providing ‘global knowledge with local vision.’ It currently offers 11 undergraduate and 7 graduate programs under the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the Faculty of Business, and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
