With the upcoming school season drawing near, The Dubai Mall is making it both convenient and fun for parents and children to get ready for Back to School while enjoying a host of activities and events.

From 28 August to 11 September parents can grab essential supplies, accessories, clothing and stationary from The Dubai Mall School Bus Market, a vibrant school bus-themed retail pop-up located on the Ground Floor, near Souk Atrium. Featuring brands such as Marks & Spencer, Antler, Kipling, Herschel, Babyshop, Mosafer, Muji, Lacoste and Lifestyle, the pop-up celebrates the best of back to school merchandise in a unique and interactive way. Furthermore, while parents are busy shopping, kids can keep themselves entertained at the on-site arts & crafts area.

In addition, Candylicious will have their candy artists on hand for live lollipop customisation of their popular Spun Candy line, plus Laser Gallery will offer live engraving of any merchandise purchased at the School Bus Market. Finally, until quantities last, guests that spend AED 200 or more onsite will receive a limited-edition reusable water bottle designed especially for The Dubai Mall by Dubai school students together with the Dubai Institute of Design & Innovation (DIDI), a not-for-profit design school located in Dubai Design District.  

From 6 to 15 September, families can explore the exciting Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi theme park at an interactive zone located on the Second Floor near the Dubai Aquarium. Bringing the world’s first Warner Bros. theme park to life, this exciting zone features kid-friendly elements such as face painting, multimedia games, giveaways and plenty of photo opportunities, bringing an extra dose of fun to all those visiting the mall during the Back to School season.

For all football fans, The Dubai Mall will be hosting a special event in support of the highly anticipated AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 to be hosted next January in Abu Dhabi. Until 1 September in the Star Atrium, a dedicated AFC Fan Zone will showcase the newly designed AFC Asian Cup trophy for the first time. Guests can also test their football skills, in addition to using augmented reality to learn about the history of the games, plus educational insights about the competing nations. For just AED 25, the journey includes a complimentary match ticket to the star event, plus a gift.

Bringing additional feel-good vibes to shoppers, lifestyle shoe brand Skechers will be donating a pair of shoes to children in need as part of a children’s maze activation hosted on the Ground Floor, near Fashion Catwalk. Shaped as a giant shoe box, the pop-up incorporates augmented reality elements which will help guide kids through the maze, completing mini game challenges on the way. With each maze completed, Skechers will donate a pair of shoes to the underprivileged.
