Aquafina official sponsor of Jordan Football Association

PepsiCo-Jordan - winner of the 2009 and 2010 King Abdullah II Award for Excellence – renewed its sponsorship agreement with Jordan Football Association (JFA) for another year, listing PepsiCo-Jordan’s Aquafina bottled water as the Association’s official and only source of pure drinking water. The agreement was signed by Ahmed El Sheikh, General Manager of PepsiCo-Jordan, and Khalil Al-Salem, Secretary General of JFA, in the presence of Hawar Hijazi, the Company’s Human Resources Manager, Mohammad Arabiyat, the Company’s Public Relations Manager, and Mohannad Mahadeen, the Association’s Marketing & Communication Manager.
Renewal of the agreement corresponds with PepsiCo-Jordan’s responsibility towards the local community, and is in line with its CSR programs that are aimed at supporting Jordan’s sports sector, particularly football, which is the number one sport in the Kingdom and around the world.
“We are proud of our renewed partnership with JFA, an Association that goes to great lengths to elevate the standards of football in Jordan. This step stems from our belief that sports positively impact individuals, both physically and psychologically”, commented Hijazi. “We are also proud of the massive popularity of our products which have become a regular household staple for local consumers. This motivates us to continue providing the beverage industry with premium products that match latest market trends and meet the demands of the local market”, Hijazi added.
In turn, Al-Salem thanked PepsiCo-Jordan for its ongoing cooperation with JFA and commended the Company for implementing programs that create positive engagement with youth and with the community at large. Al-Salem also spoke about the superior quality of PepsiCo-Jordan’s products and their prominence in the local market, and wished the Company continued success.

Pepsi Cola International
In 1965, Donald Kendall, the CEO of Pepsi-Cola, and Herman Lay, the CEO of Frito-Lay, recognized what they called “a marriage made in heaven,” a single company delivering perfectly-salty snacks served alongside the best cola on earth. Their vision led to what quickly became one of the world's leading food and beverage companies: PepsiCo.
For more than 50 years, as tastes, trends and lifestyles have changed, PepsiCo has evolved with them. Our willingness to adapt and grow has transformed our snack and soda company into a collection of global brands including Pepsi and Quaker, Gatorade and Tropicana, Frito-Lay and beyond. Today, PepsiCo is one of the world’s most-respected companies with products sold in more than 200 countries and territories and 22 brands that generate more than $1 billion each in estimated annual retail sales.
