ASUS announces Designo MX27UQ

ASUS today announced Designo MX27UQ, an elegant 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) monitor with an IPS technology panel and a wide 100% sRGB color gamut for stunning images. It has classic lines, an ultra-slim 1.25cm profile, a stylish sundial-inspired stand, and a metallic Icicle Gold finish. Designo MX27UQ has ASUS SonicMaster audio, incorporating ICEpower^®, Bang & Olufsen technology, and Bluetooth^® wireless technology for high quality music streaming, even when the monitor is in standby mode. In addition, it features ASUS Ultra-Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free technologies to protect users’ eyes during long periods of use.

Smooth 4K UHD visuals

Designo MX27UQ delivers 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) visuals with stunning levels of detail. It has a pixel density of 163 pixels per inch for sharper images with more details and textures. The higher pixel count gives Designo MX27UQ up to 300% more onscreen space than a similarly sized Full HD display.  

The high-performance IPS panel used in Designo MX27UQ has an astonishing 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio and wide 178-degree wide viewing angles. MX27UQ has a wide color gamut of 100% sRGB — ensuring extremely accurate color reproduction for professional-grade photo and video editing, or for home entertainment.

Ultra-slim, frameless design

Designo MX27UQ feels right at home in any living or office space. This classy and elegant monitor has a brushed metal Icicle Gold finish, a sundial-inspired base, and a space-saving ultra-slim profile that measures just 1.25cm at its thinnest point. Like its contemporaries in the Designo MX family, Designo MX27UQ features an exquisite edge-to-edge frameless panel with a 0.1cm-thin bezel.

ICEpower, incorporating Bang & Olufsen technology, and Bluetoothmusic streaming

Designo MX27UQ utilizes a combination of advanced audio hardware and professional audio processing for fully-immersive sound. ASUS SonicMaster audio, incorporating ICEpower®, Bang & Olufsen technology, refines every acoustic detail to deliver crystal-clear sound with more distinct vocals, a wide frequency range, and incredible audio fidelity.

MX27UQ features dual 3-watt speakers with Bluetooth Wireless technology to receive audio from any Bluetooth-enabled device. Users can simply pair their mobile devices to play their favorite music through MX27UQ, even when the monitor is in standby mode.

ASUS AudioWizard gives MX27UQ four pre-set audio modes which users can access via the onscreen display (OSD) menu. Users can select Movie Mode to enhance dialogue for movies, Music Mode for richer music, Gaming mode for enhanced in-game sound effects, and User Mode to manually set various frequencies.

Smooth 4K UHD content playback and fast device charging

Designo MX27UQ has unparalleled connectivity with most multimedia devices. Its DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI (v2.0) ports fully support 4K UHD content playback at 60Hz, or 30Hz over HDMI (v1.4). MX27UQ’s HDMI (v2.0) port supports High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP 2.2) to address video compatibility and 4K UHD copy protection issues

The integrated SuperSpeed USB charger provides 5V/1.5A power for fast mobile device charging. It charges devices up to 40% faster than normal USB 3.0 charging. 

ASUS Ultra-Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free technologies

TÜV Rheinland-certified] ASUS Blue Light Filter features four different filter settings to protect users from harmful blue light. These settings are easily accessed via a hotkey.
