ASUS announces Travelair N

ASUS today announced Travelair N, a portable wireless storage companion device designed to provide easy media streaming, file sharing and on-the-go file backups for smartphones and tablets. Travelair N features a 1TB storage capacity and is designed for users who need ample space to store HD movies or back up large collections of photos and videos. Smartphone and tablet users can even back up all of their device’s photos and videos to Travelair N with just one tap, ensuring they always have free space on their device to capture more.

Travelair N works together with ASUS AiDrive — an intuitive app for iOS, Android^™, and Kindle Fire^® devices — to give users easy access to their stored media and other files directly from their smartphone or tablet.

On-the-go media library

ASUS Travelair N enables smartphone and tablet users to create a portable media library, making it a perfect entertainment companion for travelers and other people who are frequently on the go. With a 1TB storage capacity, Travelair N can store more than 500 movies or thousands of photos, songs, and documents.

Unlike traditional hard drives and other portable storage devices that require a USB connection — making them either incompatible with mobile devices or requiring users to carry extra cables — Travelair N creates its own Wi-Fi network, allowing users to connect with their smartphone or tablet to browse, share, and transfer files wirelessly.

Travelair N also comes with a built-in SD card reader, making it an ideal solution for travelers who want to back up photos from their digital cameras while on vacation. Once photos are backed up to their Travelair N, users can also view them on their mobile device and share them with friends and family.

Easy to use and share

ASUS Travelair N features near field communication (NFC) technology to provide instant, configuration-free connection to NFC-equipped smartphones and tablets. By simply holding their mobile device close to Travelair N, users can access their stored media library and files right away.

Travelair N can connect with up to five mobile devices simultaneously when transferring files, and up to three devices when streaming movies in HD, providing fun and easy sharing experiences with family and friends. And, with cross-platform compatibility, users can share media and files with each other no matter if they use iOS, Android, or Kindle Fire devices. Users can even access their stored content from a PC or Mac by connecting to their Travelair N with a USB 3.0 cable.

Travelair N works with the intuitive AiDrive app for Android and iOS, enabling users to view, share, or edit their photos, videos, and files quickly and easily. It also provides easy and automatic backup of photos, videos, and contact information from smartphones and tablets. 

Reliable daily companion

ASUS Travelair N provides up to eight hours of continuous media streaming to most mobile devices or up to 12 hours of standby time between charges. WPA2 wireless security ensures users’ content is kept private and secure.
