Axis Communications, the global market leader in the network video market, demonstrated an innovative range of cameras that can capture images even in low light and complete darkness. Visitors to the Axis stand (Hall 3, Stand 415 C) in Dubai World Trade Centre had the opportunity to see a demo of a dark room at the stand with three Axis cameras to showcase picture clarity even in such demanding conditions.

AXIS Q1602/-E are suitable for environments with poor light conditions and includes the new and revolutionary Lightfinder technology which is exclusive only to Axis. The Lightfinder technology is the result of a choice of the right sensor and the right lens, together with the elaboration of the image data coming from the combination of sensor and lens. Compared to any analog camera, the Lightfinder technology will give a better resolution and more lifelike colors, especially in low-light conditions.

The demo included  the AXIS Q1910/-E Thermal Network Cameras which uses thermal imaging to detect people, objects and incidents in complete darkness and difficult conditions such as smoke, haze, dust. The AXIS P33 Network Cameras was also part of the demo and featured an infra-red, vandal-resistant illuminator which enables the camera to deliver high quality images in complete darkness.

Baraa Al Akkad, Regional Sales Manager, Axis Communications Middle East said, “Axis has always been at the forefront of  technology innovation in the IP video surveillance space and this is reflected in our products which give great clarity in low light and complete darkness. Since Axis always uses the latest sensor technology and continually develops smarter software, Axis will continue to lead the fast product development in the low-light application market.”

There are many situations where surveillance video with color is an important factor for successful identification, and this capability greatly enhances the user’s possibility to effectively identify people, vehicles and incidents. These cameras will be especially beneficial in demanding video surveillance applications and they can be used in a variety of low-light applications, such as parking lots, city surveillance, schools and campuses, and construction sites.
