Bahrain Airport Company supports Air India Express initiative of introducing direct flights from Bahrain International Airport to Calicut

In line with its commitment to provide an enhanced passenger experience and a pleasant travel journey for BIA passengers, as part of Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the managing body and operator of Bahrain International Airport (BIA) pursuit to offer and support all operating airlines at BIA initiatives to offer direct flights from and to the Kingdom of Bahrain. BAC recently rewarded Air India Express initiative for providing direct flights to the Kingdom of Bahrain operating daily departures from Kochi-Calicut-Bahrain-Calicut-Kochi.

Air India Express used to operate daily flights Kochi-Calicut-Bahrain-Doha-Calicut-Kochi, the new route offers transit free direct flights for BIA passengers flying to India through Air India Express.

BAC is the authority responsible for enhancing BIA and increasing the airport’s contribution to the local economy in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision.  In its operational role, BAC is responsible for elevating the airport’s operations, infrastructure and services. This is set to improve BIA’s capabilities and cater to the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of stakeholders.
