The Bahrain British Business Forum hosted the BBBF Annual Christmas Lunch Meeting on Thursday, 7th of December 2017, with VIP guest Mr. Simon Martin, CMG, Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

On this occasion, VIP guest, Mr. Simon Martin shared, “It is my privilege to be guest of honour at the Bahrain British Business Forum’s annual Christmas lunch. This provides us with a traditional opportunity to look back at the past year and to look at the year ahead, as we did in celebration of the 200-year bicentenary in the preceding year.”

“We are very happy to be sharing our experience with colleagues here in Bahrain on initiatives that serve to help each other as friends. It is my belief that private sector involvement in transport infrastructure development is key to the long-term success of the economy, and key to the delivery of the economic diversification program led by HE Zayed Al Zayani, and under the sight of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.”

BBBF Chairman Khalid Al Zayani OBE expressed his sentiments: “The BBBF looks forward to continue sharing our annual Christmas tradition, and drive forward mutual ambitions, in the interests of our two countries and peoples,” he added.

The event was held at the Diplomat Radisson Blu hotel and members and guests enjoyed a traditional British Christmas 3-course lunch followed by a Christmas raffle draw.  The main prize on offer was an Etihad Business class return ticket to the UK. The networking lunch was well attended by over 200 guests and members of the BBBF.

The BBBF is a leading network of businessmen and women in Bahrain. The forum has nine Special Interest Groups (SIGs), covering oil, gas & energy, hospitality, construction, banking & financial services, ICT and legal sectors; as well as organisational effectiveness, young professionals and women in business. The SIGs offer members and guests a valuable medium for exchanging industry specific ideas and discussing issues relevant to a particular sector in a more informal setting.
