Bank Al Etihad Paves the Way for 20 Ambitious Women to Resume Their Careers
Following their graduation from the second edition of Bank al Etihad’s Shorouq Career Comeback Program, 20 women returned to the workforce with renewed enthusiasm and passion. The comprehensive training and rehabilitation program, which is organized under the Shorouq platform, is the first of its kind in the Kingdom to prepare females to re-enter the labor market after taking time off to care for their families.
To celebrate this occasion, Bank al Etihad held a ceremony on Wednesday 5 December at the Halim Salfiti Theater at its headquarters, in the presence of the family members of the participating women. Bank al Etihad CEO, Nadia Saeed, handed out the certificates, wishing the graduates continued success and progress as they embark on their upcoming professional journeys.
Helping the 20 graduates find suitable jobs that grant them financial security and allow them to shape their futures, Bank al Etihad also arranged a career day on Thursday 6 December at its headquarters - in collaboration with several local and international companies that –share the same vision of supporting women’s economic participation in Jordan.
For three months, the ladies attended numerous orientation sessions delivered by specialized instructors and trained in various departments alongside Bank al Etihad employees, who offered valuable support and guidance that enabled them to improve their personal and practical skills. In doing so, the graduates emerged with higher qualifications and the ability to effectively rejoin the business scene and seize promising opportunities - both within and outside the Bank. Last year, 19 determined women successfully resumed their careers after partaking in the first edition of the Shorouq Career Comeback Program - with more than 45% securing permanent employment in different companies straight after completing the program.
