Bank Nizwa celebrates Omani teachers in Sohar

Spurred by its commitment to corporate social responsibility, Bank Nizwa sponsored a special celebration to honor 500 teachers in the Wilayat of Sohar, North Al Batinah Governorate. Held under the patronage of HH Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, Director General of Investment Promotion at Ithraa, the event was organized by the Ministry of Education as a tribute to teachers’ role in building the Omani society.

Dr. Ashraf Nabhan Al Nabhani, General Manager Corporate Support said, “Teachers are the motivators of our youth continuously encouraging them to reach their full potential and helping them grow as individuals, while driving development of the society in general. The ceremony was designed to honor them and acknowledge their dedication and passion to inspire.”

The sponsorship comes as part of Bank Nizwa’s continued efforts to strengthen its relationship with the public and private sector, as well as raise awareness on Islamic finance across Oman. The bank’s experts were available during the event, offering invaluable advice and sharing brochures of the bank’s product portfolio to help people lead financially secure lifestyles.

The formation of Bank Nizwa came about with the Central Bank of Oman granting its initial approval to the licensing of the Bank to Sheikh Saud bin Ali Al Khalili. Sheikh Saud and a further 92 other Omani individuals, companies and pension funds constitute the founder shareholders of the Bank.
