Bank Nizwa scoops ‘Best Islamic Services & Products in Oman’ award

Bank Nizwa won the ‘Best Islamic Services and Products in Oman’ award at the third annual ‘Arab Banks Awards and Commendations of Excellence 2017’. Organized in Lebanon by the World Union of Arab Bankers (WUAB), the event was attended by a number of high profile individuals and representatives from regional and global financial entities. The bank received the award courtesy of its comprehensive range of Shari’a-compliant products and services.

The formation of Bank Nizwa came about with the Central Bank of Oman granting its initial approval to the licensing of the Bank to Sheikh Saud bin Ali Al Khalili. Sheikh Saud and a further 92 other Omani individuals, companies and pension funds constitute the founder shareholders of the Bank.
Bank Nizwa is Oman’s first dedicated Islamic bank, with fully Shari’a compliant products and services.
