Barbie loves Splash

This season, Splash launches a fashion collection inspired by Barbie, fashion icon and the world’s number one fashion doll. The Barbie loves Splash collection reflects key elements of Barbie’s style heritage in this contemporary fashion range. The recently launched uber-stylish line will be exclusive to Splash stores across the Middle East starting October 2011.
A truly global sensation, Barbie was introduced in 1959 and since then the iconic doll has been recognized, adored and celebrated around the world, representing dozens of different nationalities throughout the decades. Fashion has always been at the core of the Barbie brand and is the appeal to women across a multitude of ages and cultures is well reflected in the recent collaboration with Splash. Barbie’s signature style is stamped across each trend and piece of the collection, which plays around with key aspects of the brand Barbie namely Power Pink, Luxe, Iconic, Sparkle, Shine and Playful. The collection combines key Barbie colors while presenting them in two different capsules of tops and dresses along with coordinates to complete the Barbie look.

The collection on display will be divided into two trend capsules that will offer trendsetting teens and women designer looks and appeal at high-street prices. The first trend explores the world of tees and leggings in viscose blended drape premium fabrics with innovative patterns like cropped asymmetric tees, bow tie ups, cowls, asymmetric hems and off shoulders. Using fresh and new print techniques the pieces are available in an array of colors like pink, black and ivory. The second trend capsule features dresses, tops and skirts in premium fabrics like chiffons, ponti knits, and georgettes. Available in a colour palette of pinks and black bodycon and prom dresses, blouson tops and cascade sleeves are the prominent patterns with bows being the highlight.
Reflecting the Barbie ideology of an independent and confidant woman the collection is suited for all occasions, be it a casual do or you feel like playing dress up. So this Autumn Winter add a little shine and sparkle with a whole lot of pink to your wardrobe and match it up with the hottest looks from Splash’s season wardrobe.
The apparel ranges from AED 70-80 for most tops to AED 120 to 180 for dresses and leggings.
